FREE eBook Giveaway- Interview With Author Rhiannon Ellis

Welcome. I had the great pleasure in interviewing friend and author, Rhiannon Ellis.

After reading the below interview with Rhiannon, don't forget to leave a comment because one lucky person will win a FREE eBook of BONDED IN BRAZIL.

This event runs Thursday through Saturday. You do NOT need an ereader like Kindle or Nook to enter. The book will be emailed directly to you and you can read it on your PC.

BIO: Rhiannon Ellis lives in Wisconsin with her husband and their two children. She is also the proud stepmom of a preteen. When Rhiannon isn't writing, cleaning house or chasing her kids around, she can most often be found curled up with her e-reader or social networking. She and her husband enjoy visiting casinos, are avid followers of politics, and are devoted fans of Wisconsin's basketball team--the Milwaukee Bucks.

Thanks for being here, Rhiannon. It’s a pleasure.

#1- Tell us a little about yourself outside of your writing career…

Outside of writing, my days are like those of most moms who have young children at home. I clean, cook, avoid doing laundry and clean some more. I love spending time with my kids and look forward to quiet evenings with that sexy bald guy I’m married to.
In addition to writing books, I also blog, tweet, waste tons of time on Facebook and contribute to a fabulous website—MomsEveryday.com.
I work out off and on, but after turning 30 in February, I decided to go on a Super Sexy in 2011 mission to prove to myself (and my husband, haha) that 30-something is definitely the new 20-something. Aside from several instances of pulled muscles, it’s going well.

#2- Can you tell us a bit about your book in this giveaway, BONDED IN BRAZIL?

I’d love to! Bonded In Brazil was an absolute delight to create. I combined a sensual, feisty Brazilian heroine, an exotic vineyard setting and a little intrigue to come up with a story that’s fun and sexy. Here’s a brief description:
Family is everything …
A few missed loan payments, and a family of Brazilian vintners stands to lose the fruits of four generations of labor. To save the business, devoted daughter Eliana Menino strikes a deal of her own to work off the family debt in service to the man she calls demonio—devilishly handsome private investor Hale Forester.
More than she bargained for …
Uprooted from her childhood home in exotic Brazil to work for Hale at his sprawling Napa Valley estate, Eliana soon realizes that the ruthless man who can make or break her family has a secret past … and the power to break her heart.

#3- How do you handle the negative reviews and critiques you receive?

So far the reviews have been great—keeping my fingers crossed—but critiques have been plentiful. I’ve used beta readers, writer’s groups and editors to comb over my work, and nothing is ever perfect. I’ve come to a point, however, where I welcome suggestions because I truly want to improve. My goal is to entertain readers, not bog them down with my writing weaknesses.
I expect to receive negative reviews at some point, or lukewarm thoughts at the very least. I can’t say this will make me happy, but I’m a reader, too. I get it. Not every book is meant to be enjoyed by everyone.

#4- Love the cover. What was it like working with your publisher, Camel Press?

Thank you! I really like the cover, too.
Everyone at Camel Press has been fantastic. Catherine Treadgold is a diligent and detailed editor. I believe working with her has made me a better writer. Bonded In Brazil was the second novel I wrote and my first attempt at romance. I was grateful to have an editor really dig in, eliminate the rough spots and enhance the better ones.

#5- The Bucks, huh? Pfft. And what about those Packers and Brewers? What else do you enjoy in your spare time?

Well, we love our Packers, that’s for sure. Hubby is a fan of the Brewers, but I just haven’t been able to catch baseball fever yet. It took me a while to get into football, too, so maybe there’s still hope.
Spare time…what spare time? Gosh, I live way out here in rural Wisconsin, far from family and friends, which means it’s just us and the kids most of the time. On the rare occasion hubby and I get out, we enjoy casinos, basketball and football games, shopping (yes, I married a shopper!) and quiet dinners.
The kids and I visit our local library often and go for walks. The winters are long so we do tons of crafts and play indoor games. I’ve gotten pretty good at hide-n-seek, if I say so myself.

#6- Are there any upcoming releases we would like to know about, and could you give us your web site so readers can check it out?

I have two books out now, including a sexy paranormal romance novella, and both are displayed on my website.
www.RhiannonEllis.com
My agent has a new manuscript in her possession, and even though Bonded In Brazil stands alone as a single title, the new book features some of its minor characters as major players. I’m very excited about it, and anyone who enjoys Bonded In Brazil should definitely check it out when it’s available to see how Eliana and Hale are doing after they get their HEA.

#7- This about concludes it. Thank you again for joining us. Is there anything else you would like to share?

Thanks so much for having me, Kelly! I hope I get to meet some new friends today and give away a free digital copy of Bonded In Brazil. Keep reading and writing, everyone, and don’t be a stranger.

Rhiannon,

How did you come up with the vineyard? Did you have to research wines?........OMG....I can just imagine trying to take care of young children and researching wine at the same time. . . .LOL...mine are 17 & 18 years old now but I can remember when they were toddlers. I probably could have used a glass of wine a time or two. Thanks for posting info on your book and keep up the great writing.
