Review--THE DARKEST WHISPER

Review For:
The Darkest Whisper, by Gena Showalter
ISBN: 9780373773923
Publisher: HQN (Harlequin)

Author Gena Showalter is a New York Times and USA Today best-selling author of more than twenty-four novels. Other titles in this series include: The Darkest Night, The Darkest Kiss, and The Darkest Pleasure. She also writes in contemporary romance and young adult.
In this fourth installment of the Lords of the Underworld series, we follow Sabin, bound by the demon of Doubt. Sabin unintentionally destroys even the most confident of women when Doubt enters, so the immortal warrior spends his time on the battlefield fighting his enemies in the race to get to Pandora’s box before his brethren are destroyed. Gwen, an immortal herself, wants nothing more than to ignore her inner Harpy, the dark side of her she has no control over and likes to kill when she’s riled. But when Sabin and his army rescue her from a year long imprisonment and things heat up, the underworld war has nothing on their war for love.
It is not necessary to read the three books before this one to understand or appreciate the story-line, as Gena does a great job of filling in and explaining, but I think readers will take more from the series if they do.
What else can I say besides Gena Showalter delivers again! Oh yeah, this was really good. A perfect blend of paranormal and romance, this book sizzles from opener to end with relatable characters, fast-action, and steamy love scenes. Fans will not be disappointed, except however having to wait for the next ones to be released.
