Review For:
The Darkest Passion, by Gena Showalter
ISBN: 9780373774555
Publisher: HQN

Author Gena Showalter is a New York Times and USA Today best-selling author of more than twenty-four novels. Other titles in this series include: The Darkest Night, The Darkest Kiss, Into the Dark, and The Darkest Pleasure. She also writes in contemporary romance and young adult.

In this fifth installment of the Lords of the Underworld series, we follow Aeron, the keeper of the demon, Wrath. For weeks Aeron has sensed an invisible female presence watching him. The angel, a demon assassin named Olivia, has been sent to eliminate him. Except she couldn't do it, or so she claims, and is now "fallen". Falling from the heavens and giving up mortality for him was a hard pill to swallow, but worse yet is she endangered them all by doing it. Now a new executioner has been sent to do what Olivia couldn't, and the passion between this angel and demon may not last to see it played out the way they desperately wish.

I cannot throw enough positive adjectives at this series. Each one is dark, dangerous, and hotter than, well, you know! This, as with the other books, is impossible to put down. The conflict and fast-paced action, plus a hero and heroine to die for, make for a compelling out of this world experience. Though this is a series, it is not necessary to read the other books, nor in order, but I highly suggest doing so. It's worth it. A must read!
