Book Spotlight & Giveaway

Welcome! Today I have with me author Janine Corti Petska, who's giving away a FREE copy of her book, Surrender to Honor.

Blurb:
Prima Ranieri seeks retribution for her family's death and loss of home and land. Her plans go awry when the heir to the powerful Massaro family returns home. After only one glance, Prima's attraction to him undermines her furor toward those she blames for her plight.
After a fifteen year absence, Antonio Massaro returns to Palermo to find a war raging between his family and the evil Falcone. His refusal to accept his rightful position as the head of the Honored Society carries serious consequences. The welfare of the people of Palermo is at stake. But one look at the beautiful woman Prima has become costs him his heart. She's a deadly distraction...one that jeopardizes her life as well as his own.

Excerpt:
At her chair, Prima fixed a pointed glare on Adamo. His lopsided grin warned that he was up to no good. He made no attempt to remove his feet. Antonio spoke up, thwarting the stinging reprimand he knew Prima was about to issue.
“Feeling better?” he inquired, his mood lightened by the vexed turn of his wife’s mouth. He understood what Adamo was about when his cousin held his place and his ceaseless grin. As soon as Prima’s heated gaze flowed in his direction, Antonio closed his fingers around her wrist and tugged her onto his lap. He stilled her wayward limbs with an open hand to her bottom.
“O-ho, cugino,” Adamo bellowed. “You are a fortunate man to possess a wench so spirited.”
Prima’s haughty expression fell on Antonio’s irreverent cousin, and she objected. “He does not possess me. He is merely a brute when he handles me as such.”
“You give me no other choice, piccola. You have withheld your passion from me for too many nights. I fear my body can take no more suffering.”
“Oh, what makes you so heartless!”
Her cheeks flamed under the watchful eyes of the Massaro men. Antonio refused to ease her embarrassment. He capped the back of her head with one hand and brought her mouth to his. Gradually she lost her fight. He filled her mouth with his wine-tinged tongue, delighting in her melting response. He almost forgot they were not alone.
Dom chuckled. “Mayhap we should leave the lovers be.”
“We should first clear the table, I think. I fear they will not make it up to their bedchamber,” Adamo remarked playfully.
Prima pushed at Antonio’s chest. His lips remained upon hers, and in a low voice against her mouth he warned, “Do not attempt to slap me for my boldness lest you treasure my brand of punishment.”
“I treasure naught but my release.”
Antonio smiled. “Piccola, I fear I may not be able to control mine.”
Slowly removing his hand from her head, he observed her with a guarded eye. He hoped she’d not be foolish and assault him in front of his cousins. Unexpectedly, though, she bested him in her own wicked way when she slid her hand upward to pinch the tender under part of his arm. Wincing, Antonio locked his teeth together to trap a foul oath and scowled into the retaliating shine in her eyes.
“Woman, you’ll not get away with that.”
